How We Make Blake's Seed Based Bars

I love to know how things are made. As a kid, I was mesmerized seeing the “Behind the Scenes” of factories on Mr. Rogers or Unwrapped, and as an adult, one of my favorite podcasts is How I Built This. Today, I’ll give you a behind the scenes on how Blake’s Seed Based Bars are made. 

Product: All Blake’s Seed Based Bars are made with great attention to taste, texture, nutrition, and safety. 

Ingredients: The process starts with deciding on the ingredients used. Seeds are always the main ingredients, and the ingredients must be Allergy- Friendly. Our Snack Bars have a base of quinoa, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and flax seeds.

Flavor: We blend current trends with our own taste preferences and consumer feedback to decide on flavors. Currently, our Seed Based Snack Bar lineup is Raspberry, Pineapple, Blueberry Lemon and S’mores.

Samples: Once we’ve decided on the product type, ingredients, and flavor, we send the specs to our partner facility. They carefully source ingredients and create a sample for us to try. We provide feedback and go back and forth until it’s perfect.

Production: The product is produced on an Allergy-Friendly line. The ingredients are mixed together, formed into bars, and cut to the perfect size. 

Packaging: We create the packaging, including the wrappers and boxes, and send it to the facility to be packed.

Shipping: The seed bars are shipped to partners and our warehouse, then to consumers to enjoy! It’s very rewarding to see someone eat a product you worked hard to create and to get their positive feedback!

How We Ensure Our Products Are Allergy-Friendly

Certified Facility: We partnered with one of the best Allergy-Friendly facilities in the world. Seriously, Blake toured over 30 different facilities before selecting ours to make Blake’s Seed Based Bars. It is certified gluten-free and nut-free, they even pat people down for nuts when they enter the building. 

Routine Testing: The lines that our product is run on go through routine testing to make sure there are no allergens present. 

Sourced: The ingredients we source are managed with great care to ensure they never come in contact with another allergen.

Packaged: Our bars are packaged in the allergy-free facility so there is no risk of contamination.

Free From: Blakes Seed Based Bars are free from peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish. 

Personal Backing: We have allergies, and we eat these bars!!! We know what it’s like to live with an allergy, and we do not take safety precautions lightly.
