The main reason that people become vegan are for the long term health benefits. The diet mainly focuses on fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, which contain fiber, antioxidants, and several essential nutrients. The lack of animal products also leads to less saturated and trans fats which can help with obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. 

Another reason people become vegan is for environment sustainability. Animal-based diets require more land, water, energy, and resources than plant-based. The production of animal products is also a leading cause of greenhouse gas emissions. 

There are now vegan food options everywhere you go. There is an increased demand for vegan products because of the growing popularity of veganism. The vegan food industry is on a growth rate of 8.7% and has a current value of 31.8 billion.
